Now this came as something of a surprise to many. I was confident that I would
see a Vanquish Zagato at the Geneva salon in 2004, but I had no idea
what-so-ever that Bertone was also working on an even more radical show stopper. Based on the
aluminium and carbon fibre chassis of the V12 Vanquish but lengthened by 210mm,
the Jet 2 pays homage to the 1961 Bertone Jet based on the DB4GT. The Shooting
Wagon concept car has been likened to the Reliant Scimitar and assorted Alfas,
has room for four people and could have been built since all the hard points are shared
with the standard production car. Yet another fabulous concept that, sadly
remains unique. |
